Giving is part of our worship
At United Church, it’s important to understand that we give to God through the church, not to the church. Giving is not a business transaction but an act of worship, and an expression of gratitude to God.
“Each one should give as you have decided in your heart to give. You should not be sad when you give, and you should not give because you feel forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 (New Century Version)
We believe in the principle of tithing, recognizing that giving 10% of our income is the Biblical standard for giving and a primary practical way we acknowledge that God is first in our lives.
Schedule Your Giving
Your life is busy these days, isn’t it? Between paying bills, running errands and remembering birthdays and anniversaries, giving can easily get put on the back burner. The truth is, it doesn’t have to be this way. You can literally schedule your next gift in two minutes. Go ahead, give your brain a break. It deserves it.
